Most calorie apps help after you've eaten. MacroScout helps while you're still reading the menu. Photograph a restaurant menu and it checks each dish against the calories and protein you have left today, then shows the three that fit best, with estimates adjusted for restaurant cooking and common allergens flagged. You can also snap your plate, say or type a meal, or scan a barcode. It's tuned for home cooking and regional dishes, including South Asian food.
